Eighteen apartments evacuated from a squatted block in the center of Girona
The residents of the property had already been evicted twice before.

A large police operation is evicting eighteen apartments in a squatted block on Ronda Ferran Puig in Girona, in the city center, this Wednesday. The building, located at numbers 13 and 15, has serious structural problems and has been occupied by several families for months. This Wednesday's eviction is the third in this same building, following those carried out in March and May.
As the families are evicted, workers from a company are destroying the apartments to make them uninhabitable and prevent them from being reoccupied once the police operation is lifted. The operation began at 8:00 a.m. and brought together officers from the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police), the Spanish police, and the municipal police. Personnel from the basic supply services also attended the building, the power was cut off in the building, and traffic was restricted on a section of the street.
