The wedding of the son of the president of the Planeta Group gathers the political and economic elite in the Empordà

BarcelonaGuillermo Creuheras and the designer Natalia Pujol, both 27 years old and children of two of the country's great business dynasties, were married this weekend in Torroella de Montgrí. He is the son of José Creuheras, president of Grupo Planeta and Atresmedia, and Columna Martí; she is the daughter of Xavier Pujol and the late Marta de Castro, the family at the helm of the automotive giant Ficosa. Both began dating in the summer of 2019 in Cerdanya –where they met thanks to the bride's older brother and where they have a home– and this Saturday they said "I do" at the Gothic church of Sant Genís in front of more than 600 guests.

The wedding turned the Empordà into a true summit of economic, political, and media power. Among the pews of the nave, politicians from different spectrums coincided, led by the president of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and the former Barcelona mayoral candidate, and until just over a year ago Minister of Overseas Territories of France, Manuel Valls. The business world was also not lacking, with the presence of Ana Botín (Banco Santander), Cristina Álvarez (El Corte Inglés), Antonio Brufau (Repsol), Marc Puig (Puig), Francisco Reynés (Naturgy), Marc Murtra (Telefónica), Donato González (Société Générale), Ángel Corcóstegui, and Liliana Godia.

The media and culture sector did not miss the wedding either: from directors and editors such as Javier Godó (editor of La Vanguardia), Pedro J. Ramírez (El Español), Cruz Sánchez de Lara and Javier Bardají (CEO of Atresmedia), to the most well-known faces of television, such as Susanna Griso, Sonsoles Ónega, Vicente Vallés, Matías Prats, and Paco Marhuenda. Also sitting in the church pews were some of Planeta's best-known writers, such as Eduardo Mendoza, María Dueñas, Carmen Posadas, or Nativel Preciado.

Dolly Parton and Rosalía

The arrival of the bride and groom at the altar left a musical contrast: he entered the church with the classic I will always love you, by Dolly Parton, while she did it to the rhythm of Milionària, by Rosalía. Father Ignacio Pujol, the bride's uncle, officiated the ceremony. The styling also demonstrated the difference in the couple's tastes. The bride opted for Barcelona haute couture from the firm Ze García, which made her three dresses for the ceremony, the banquet, and the party afterwards. The groom, for his part, wore a design from the historic Santa Eulàlia house on Passeig de Gràcia.

Having left the service, the procession moved to the family estate of Ermedàs, in Palafrugell. A space of great sentimental value because it was the home of the bride's mother, Marta de Castro, who passed away ten months ago.
