Arlene Foster, Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) leader and head of the cabinet in Northern Ireland, will step down as leader of the party on 28 May and as premier of the province at the end of June. The MPs revolt from the Stormont assembly has triggered the resignation after five years in office.
