BarcelonaMarc Márquez is on cloud nine and doesn't want to come down. The rider from Cervera is having a perfect start to the season. If he achieved the pole position, won the sprint race and also the race, in the third round of the calendar he is going down the same path. At the Grand Prix of the Americas in Texas, he won the sprint race just hours after taking the pole for this Sunday's race (9 p.m./DAZN). After defeating Argentina and Thailand, he now conquers Texas.

In the sprint race, Italian Pecco Bagnaia surprised with a spectacular start that took him from sixth to first, but before the end of the first lap, the Márquez brothers had already passed him. Marc, despite a scare on the second lap, made headway, controlling the race ahead of Àlex, second, and Bagnaia, third. Ducatis are completely dominant in this world championship, and after the first six laps, the top five riders were all on one. With Joan Mir and Maverick Viñales retiring, the race was exciting until a small mistake by Àlex Márquez definitively distanced him from his brother. In the end, the podium was no surprise, because it's what's been repeated in almost every race: Marc ahead of his brother and, in third place, the champion from two seasons ago, Bagnaia.

With this victory, Marc Márquez leads the World Championship with 86 points, ahead of Àlex, who has 57. Bagnaia has 50 and is third before this Sunday's race, in which Marc Márquez will start first thanks to his time of 2:01.088 ahead of Di Giannaton. The last time Marc had chained three pole consecutive titles, in 2019, he was world champion. This year's start to the season invites dreaming.
