Why it is necessary to talk about Eduardo Inda

If the news that Ok Diario had paid 242,000 euros for Koldo García's defense were not enough to make one's eyebrows arch higher than the oval of one's face, in pure exclamation, a circumstance is added that makes the affair even filthier. It turns out that the director of Eldiario.es, Ignacio Escolar, met with García's lawyer, Leticia de la Hoz, who is the one who collected the invoices on behalf of Eduardo Inda's digital outlet. The juiciest one, oh what a coincidence, coincided with the date on which the media outlet interviewed him so he could pull back the curtain and expose the miseries of the PSOE. After that meeting, a burly man approached Escolar to tell him that he had been taking pictures of him on the orders of the director of Ok Diario. A few minutes later, his mobile phone vibrated. It was Inda, with a message as brief as it was disturbing: “Ho, ho”. A while later, the photos appeared published and it was said that Eldiario.es was making things up and had “falsified the concepts” of the invoices.

Since the relationship of Ok Diario with the truth is one of casual friendship, it is not worth getting into their fabrications. But this thuggery of sending people not only to take photos of a normal activity like meeting with a source, but also to make it known, must be denounced. That is to say: "We are watching you, mate", followed by the gesture of pointing your index and middle fingers to your eyes, and then pointing at the eyes of the person you want to intimidate. Blunderbuss and extortion journalism has always existed, but it used to be an excrescence of the system, of snipers who lived mainly off what they did not publish. However, Inda's case is especially serious because while controversies of a straight red card accumulate for him, he continues as a star panelist on television programs of private channels but which use a good that is public and limited, such as the radio spectrum. Someday this will be as surprising as when people smoked in medical offices.
