The Argentine justice system's ingenious solution to stop celebrities from promoting illegal gambling on social media.

Several influencers in the country have reached a legal agreement and will have to post a video warning of the dangers of this type of online gambling.

The Argentine justice system has found an ingenious solution to prevent celebrities and influencers promote unauthorized online gambling. After investigating 110 celebrities in the country to use their images in advertisements for this type of online gambling, has reached a legal settlement with 27 of them. To reverse the bad publicity they had generated, some of them had to record a video with the opposite message warning of the dangers of illegal gambling and post it on their social media to avoid a potential conviction for having previously advertised.

"It is considered appropriate that the influencers repair the damage caused through the same means in which it was produced [...]. ClarionSpecifically, there are 16 influencers who have accepted the deal, including model and TV presenter Wanda Nara and singer L-Gante.

According to the agreement, they will have to publish the video on their social networks in story for three days and leave it on the walls of their profiles for at least a month. According to the newspaper Clarion, Bárbara Silenzi, Florencia Vigna, Sasha Hierro, Lola Tomaszeuski, Mario Laurens, Traniela Campolieto, Mariano Canal, Facundo Guarino, Ignacio López, Gabriel Orcellet, Romina Uhrig, Mariano Nahuel Valenzuela, Tomás Álvarez and Nicolás Voutrinas Font influencers who have accepted the agreement.

The cases involving these celebrities arise from private complaints, the Buenos Aires City Lottery, the Argentine Chamber of Casinos, Bingos and Annexes, and the specialized prosecutor's office itself. To date, beyond the 100 celebrities under investigation, the investigation led by the Buenos Aires Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Gambling has resulted in the closure or blocking of more than 400 illegal gambling establishments.
