9th edition of the Càntut festival in Cassà de la Selva

Winner of the National Culture Prize in 2022, the Càntut festival celebrates another edition, marking the beginning of this annual event dedicated to recovering and promoting traditional oral songs. This year's lineup includes Mallorcan singer Maria del Mar Bonet, whose performance has already sold out, as well as two lunches with traditional singers, featuring David Fernàndez and Magalí Sare, and performances by Hostal Càntut with La Coixinera and Grana i Moscatell. Other performers at this intergenerational event include Carles Sanjosé and Adrià Pujol with El Cançoner del Empordà, Galician musician and folklorist Xabier Díaz, and the duo L'arannà, among others.
Lighting ceremony in Platja d'Aro

Playa de Aro welcomes Christmas with the lighting of its Christmas lights, a spectacular display of light and color that transforms the streets into a magical and enchanting setting. It marks the official start of the Christmas season in the municipality and invites young and old alike to experience the festive spirit in a welcoming and celebratory atmosphere. The event includes a concert by La Quinta Voce and a performance. The man of a thousand voices!by Pep Plaza. The charity calendar for Sant Joan de Déu Hospital will also be on sale.
FlamenGi opens this weekend

Israel Galván opens a flamenco festival on Friday that will include concerts in Girona, Figueres, Banyoles, and La Bisbal. Other performers include Curro Sánchez, Farru, Kiki Morente, and Antonio Serrano & Josemi Carmona with Ignasi Terraza.
Charity concert against cancer in Girona

The New Generation Choir, the Great Generation Choir, and organist Pau Riuró will offer a benefit concert on Friday the 14th to support people affected by lung cancer and their families. The event is part of the commemorations of World Lung Cancer Day, which was observed on November 17th. According to data from the Association, 503 new cases of lung cancer were detected in Girona last year. It is one of the cancers with the highest incidence and mortality rates.
Daltabaix musical at the Amistad de Cadaqués
PLACE: Sociedad la Amistad de Cadaqués / DATE: November 16, 12:30 pm
The fourth edition of the Daltabaix Festival, organized by the Cadaqués Friendship Society, features musical vermouth sessions in a privileged seaside location. This Sunday's session will be led by the group Jarana. They will be followed on subsequent Sundays by Mandie Rules and Bohemios Autorizados.
