Five plans for the weekend in the Girona region

Indilletres was founded in 2018 by a group of local residents who wanted to organize a fair for independent publishers in La Bisbal d'Empordà. Each year, local bookstores and the Lluïsa Duran Library also participate, and the fair is supported by the La Bisbal d'Empordà City Council and Òmnium Cultural. This year, nearly fifty publishers will participate, all aiming to contribute positively to the country's cultural landscape. Pastora Soler celebrates 30 years of career with the tour Roses and ThornsA show that arrives at the Auditori for the first time in the Girona region. This concert opens the series. Christmas at the Auditorium The festival, which runs until January 10th, offers ten concerts to celebrate the festivities at the Girona Auditorium, featuring artists such as the Chicago Mass Choir, Chano Domínguez Sextet & Gerona Jazz Project, Mayte Martín, El Cascanueces, and Miki Núñez, among others. The historic centre of Castelló d'Empúries will once again be the setting for the Christmas Fair, which is organized by the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Castelló d'Empúries and Empuriabrava and the Town Council.

The fifteenth edition of this week-long fantasy and horror film festival in Girona is now underway. Held annually, it brings together fans of these genres. The festival offers an opportunity to enjoy feature films, short films competing in the official selection, book presentations, lectures, and discussions with people involved in the creation of these audiovisual works. The SERGI Foundation organizes the Solidarity Concert Against Gender Violence, an annual awareness and protest initiative held around November 25th. This year's performers are Les Testarudes, a group of nine women who are claiming their space in traditionally male-dominated musical styles such as ska, reggae, and rocksteady.
