Land of Troubadours, recreation and learning

PLACE: Castelló d'Empúries / DATE: September 12, 13 and 14

Terra de Trobadors celebrates its 33rd edition this year, with a historical theme focused on the 1496 census, which was ordered by the king and not by the count, as was customary. This census can be considered the first census in the County of Empúries. Carlos Vela, PhD in Medieval History, has cross-referenced the data from this census of heads of household in the county, preserved in the Archives of the Crown of Aragon, with several contemporary notarial records. This book was the result of this research. Castelló d'Empúries in the light of the fire of 1496In addition to history, the festival offers entertainment, music, workshops, gastronomy, and much more.

Local and Conscious Book Fair in Las Presas

PLACE: Las Presas / DATE: September 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The fair, now in its fourth year, was created to promote conscious production and consumption in the publishing sector and to promote sensible, sustainable, and quality publishing. The central focus of the fair consists of the stands of around twenty publishers who will showcase their new releases and the most notable books in their catalogs. There will be presentations, family shows, and literary conversations. The closing party will be hosted by the musical group Les Anxovetes.

MiroRock begins with Led Zeppelin vermouth

PLACE: La Mirona de Salt / DATE: September 14

The MiroRock Band, made up of young people, opens the MiroRock festival with a tribute concert to Led Zeppelin. A Sunday morning vermouth concert that promises excitement and good music.

Festival of San Juan de las Abadesas

PLACE: San Juan de las Abadesas / DATE: September 11-16

The Diada begins with the floral offering at the wreath of Count Guifré, founder of the monastery. At 6 p.m., the Music Fair, with performances by Laura Garriga, Tremendu, Pesadilla Atmosférica, La madre del Tanu, and Dan Peralbo y el Convoy. On Friday, the show Good peopleby Quim Masferrer, followed by a communal dinner and the correfoc (fire run). On Saturday, there's a giants' meeting, a communal lunch, and a sardana performance. In the evening, Di-Versiones (The Diversions) will be held in the pavilion. The festival, with a packed program, doesn't end until Tuesday, with the fireworks.

Storytelling Fair in Medinyà

PLACE: Medinyà / DATE: September 14

The 15th edition of the Medinyà Storytelling Fair is a space dedicated to the world of stories and a meeting point for all those who love and appreciate this artistic and literary genre. Enjoy a sampling of many stories, shuffle, play, listen, enjoy, watch, sing, invent, draw, and spend a fairy tale day with family and friends.
