The Valencian Generalitat has lifted the confinement in the entire town of La Vall d'Uixó, in the north of the Valencian Country, which was affected by the fire that has been burning in Castelló for four days now. According to the 112, evacuation and confinement measures remain in place in the rest of the municipalities until this Tuesday, July 28, at night: in total, some 16,000 people from 18 municipalities have been evacuated and 64,000 have been confined to the cities of Onda, La Vall d'Uixó, and Betxí.
This morning, various aerial means were already working in the area to try to control the fire, according to the same sources. For the moment, the fire has an approximate perimeter of 72 kilometers and has burned about 8,500 hectares.
The fire, which enters its fourth day, continues with a light wind and possible visibility complications, according to AEMET, the State Meteorological Agency. This Monday night to Tuesday night has been meteorologically calm, with light land breezes and downdraft winds of 10 km/h in the fire zone.
