EU and Mercosur agreement enters into force

The agreement between the European Union and Mercosur has entered into force this Friday. It is a provisional application, pending the European Parliament's approval. The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, expressed confidence that it "will show the tangible benefits" of the pact.
