BarcelonaSol Daurella, president of the bottler Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEP), repeats as the richest person in Catalonia on the list of the State's great fortunes published this Tuesday by the magazine Forbes. With assets of 3.5 billion euros (about 600 million more than in 2025), Daurella is in eleventh place nationwide in a ranking headed once again by the Galician Amancio Ortega, founder of the fashion giant Inditex —parent company of chains such as Zara, Stradivarius or Bershka—, who in one year has increased his fortune by 15.3 billion euros, to 125.2 billion.

In second place follows his own daughter, Sandra Ortega, who years ago entered directly into the second position upon receiving part of her father's assets. She currently has 11.5 billion euros, 1.5 billion more than last year, placing her above the Valencian businessman and president of the Mercadona supermarket chain, Juan Roig, who this year has increased his assets by 1.9 billion, to 9.5 billion, which makes him the third richest person in Spain.

Among the ten richest are also the president of Abanca, Juan Carlos Escotet; the president of the construction company Ferrovial, Rafael del Pino; the vice president of Mercadona and wife of Juan Roig, Hortensia Herrero; the president of the construction company ACS and Real Madrid, Florentino Pérez; the Murcian Tomás Olivo, owner of the shopping center company General de Galerías Comerciales; María del Pino Calvo-Sotelo, sister of Rafael del Pino and president of the Rafael del Pino foundation, and the Majorcan Miguel Fluxá, executive president of the hotel group Iberostar.

The richest Catalans

At the Catalan level, Daurella was already the country's leading fortune last year, a position that had been held for many years by the founder of Mango, Isak Andic, who died in December 2024 after falling off a cliff while hiking in Montserrat. His inheritance was divided among his three children, Jonathan —judicially investigated for the death of his parent—, Sarah, and Judith. Behind Daurella is, with 2.9 billion, Josep Maria Serra Farré, majority shareholder of the insurer Occident and who is situated in the 17th position of the Spanish ranking. The Catalan Alberto Palatchi, founder of Pronovias, has the same wealth, although Forbes counts him as being from Madrid, since in 2017, with the 'Procés', he moved his holding company to the Spanish capital, where he resides.

He is followed, in the twentieth state position, by Manuel Puig Rocha, vice president and shareholder of the Puig perfume group, with 2.1 billion in wealth, 200 million more than Carme Daurella, cousin of Sol Daurella and also a shareholder of CCEP, who occupies the 23rd place in the state classification, followed, with the same wealth, by the gambling businessman Manuel Lao, former owner of Cirsa. In positions 36 and 38, with 1.5 billion and 1.3 billion respectively, are the brothers Jorge and Antonio Gallardo, from the family that owns the pharmaceutical company Almirall. One place below, at 39, is the Lleida native José Llorens, owner of the mining and engineering company EPSA and the Llotor holding company.

Josefa and Assumpta Serra —sisters of Josep Maria Serra Farré—, shareholders of Occident, have 1.4 billion euros and occupy the 42nd place, and three positions below is the art collector Carmen Thyssen, with 1.3 billion. In 48th place is Jordi Rubiralta, with a wealth valued at 1.2 billion as a shareholder of the medical diagnostic group Werfen and top executive of the family office Yukon Capital, while his brothers José Luis, Marc, and Xavier enter the ranking in positions 56, 57, and 58, with one billion each.
