Sol Daurella tops the Forbes list of the richest people in Catalonia: find out who the others are

    BarcelonaSol Daurella tops the Forbes 2025 list of Catalonia's richest people, with an estimated fortune of €2.9 billion. Nationally, the businesswoman ranks 12th. She belongs to the founding family of Cobega, a Coca-Cola bottler, which currently controls the multinational Coca-Cola Europacific Partners (CCEPP), where she serves as president. Daurella has risen to the top of a list of Catalan residents that last year was headed by Isak Andic, who died in December after falling from a cliff in the Montserrat area, with a net worth exceeding €4 billion. The inheritance has been divided equally among the three children: Jonathan, Judith, and SarahThe second on the Catalan list (and number 21 nationwide), with a fortune of 2.5 billion euros, is Manuel Puig Rocha, vice president of the perfume and cosmetics group Puig Brands, which has been listed on the Ibex 35 since last year. He is also one of the shareholders of the multinational swimming pool company Fluidra, with 8% of the capital. The third (number 23 in Spain) is Manuel Lao, former owner of Cirsa, which he sold to Blackstone. He controls Nortia Capital, the holding company that manages his fortune, estimated at around 1.7 billion euros. The Forbes list in Spain continues to be led by Amancio Ortega, the main shareholder of Inditex, with 109.9 billion euros. In second place is his daughter Sandra Ortega, with 10 billion; And in third place is Rafael de Pino Calvo-Sotelo, with 8 billion, who is the main shareholder and president of Ferrovial, according to Forbes magazine.
From the Serra family to Carmen Thyssen
Other businesspeople who rank highly on the list and reside in Catalonia include Josep Maria Serra and family, the main shareholder of the group that owns the Occidente insurance company (formerly Catalana Occidente), with a net worth of €1.6 billion; Carmen Daurella, from the family that owns Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, with €1.6 billion; José Llorens, owner of the business consultancy Llotor; Miguel Tomàs Arrufat, CEO and main shareholder of Proeduca Altus, with €1.3 billion; and Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza, one of the leading art collectors and owner of a large real estate portfolio, with €1.3 billion. Jordi Rubiralta, one of the main shareholders of Werfen Life, founded by his father José María, also features prominently, with a net worth of €1.2 billion. His brothers José Luis, Marc, and Xavier, with 1.1 billion each, also appear in the Forbes ranking. Other businesspeople listed include Antonio and Jorge Gallardo, main shareholders of the pharmaceutical company Almirall, with fortunes of 1.1 billion and 1 billion respectively, as well as Albert Esteve and family, main shareholders of Esteve, with 900 million. Other notable fortunes include those of Francisco José Elías, owner of Audax Renovables and main shareholder of Ezentis, Atrys Health, and La Sirena, with 650 million; the Carulla family, of Agrolimen, with 620 million; representatives of the Molinos family, main shareholders of the cement company that bears their name; and Javier Suqué Mateu and family, owner of the Perelada group, with 600 million. Members of the Grífols family, Enrique and Núria Grífols, with 510 million, or Joan Font Fabregó, owner of the Bon Preu chain, with 500 million.
