Renfe awards 30 new high-speed trains to Siemens for 1.218 billion

Renfe has awarded Siemens the contract for 1.218 billion euros to incorporate 30 new Velaro Novo high-speed trains, with an option for ten more units. The trains, designed to travel at up to 350 kilometers per hour, will have 520 seats.
