This Friday, Shakira returned to Spain to kick off her highly anticipated residency in Madrid and bring an end to her international tour, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. In this way, the Spanish capital has been tinged with the colors of Colombia to welcome the singer amidst such iconic slogans as "women no longer cry, women cash in." Both the first and the remaining eleven concerts scheduled will take place at Macondo Park, a "Shakira city" built by Iberdrola Music with over 40 hectares of venue space.
Regarding the performance, Shakira's fans entered an hour and ten minutes later than planned and did not hesitate to express their indignation with shouts, urging staff to open the doors or describing the events as "a scam." Nevertheless, once the thousands of fans were able to enter the space, they celebrated the artist's arrival on stage as if nothing had happened.
Boom in hotel bookings
It is expected that the 12 performances that the Colombian artist will offer in Madrid will gather nearly 50,000 fans each night, like today, a fact that has triggered the price of hotel reservations in the Spanish capital by up to 34%.
