Antoni Bassas's analysis: 'Together, on the attack with Sánchez and with the upcoming rise of Aliança Catalana in the polls'

Puigdemont's party wants to project a tough image, and it wants to do so through a leader, a woman who won't be pushed around and plays the offensive with aggression. Together needs to respond to a trend observed on the ground, which will soon be revealed in the next opinion polls: that Aliança Catalana is drawing voters away from them.

As we mentioned yesterday, Together they have announced the blockade of all the laws currently being processed in Congress. Given that, following Puigdemont's solemn announcement in Perpignan that they would no longer negotiate with the PSOE, the general reaction was to say, "So what?" Together they wanted to go a step further: the PSOE will not be able to pass any lawLet's see if Sánchez can manage to stay in power until 2027, as he keeps saying.

We'll see. For now, the Spanish government has responded with "the hand of cooperation remains extended to all parliamentary groups," which is as automatic a response as those emails that reply, "I'm out of the office, I'll be back on such and such a day."

Junts feels the pressure to deliver results, which is the only reason they could have voted in favor of Sánchez's investiture after repeatedly stating that he would never be investigated because he was untrustworthy. And they aren't getting results. They're not getting paid in advance or in advance. Puigdemont remains in exile. And contrary to those who say they already knew that some of the agreements didn't depend on the PSOE, Junts responds that the Socialists haven't made enough of an effort and have let time slip away with self-serving delays.

The pressure that Junts faces is different from that of Esquerra Republicana for two reasons: because Esquerra is clearly involved in a left-wing front with the PSOE, with Gabriel Rufián acting as the critical conscience of the Spanish left and proposing the creation of a plurinational electoral alliance, and because it doesn't have a leader like Osa, who is in a hurry due to his incapacity. The Isla-Sánchez connection is evident, and the aim is to avoid doing anything that could destabilize it. And Esquerra doesn't feel the pressure from Aliança Catalana that Junts feels, and very much so.

The message Junts is sending is Raimon's: "We're not from that world," meaning the world of the left-wing majority. And so, when there are elections in Spain, let it be clear that they have nothing to do with it anymore.

That's why they're spreading a rumor on social media. type of video game in which Miriam Nogueras confronts Pedro Sánchez with slaps.

Nogueras asks Sánchez things like, "How many apartments are still occupied in Catalonia while they're blocking Junts' law against squatting here? How many criminals are still on the streets while they're still blocking Junts' law against repeat offenders here?" And then he launches a Son Goku-style attack that ends with Sánchez knocked out and Nogueras' victory.

That Junts has chosen a fight between Nogueras and Sánchez is no coincidence: Puigdemont's party wants to project toughness and wants to project it through a leader, a woman who doesn't let herself be walked all over and plays the attack aggressively.. Together has not only broken with Sánchez but is also saying that, with forceful tactics, Aliança Catalana will not defeat them. Together needs to respond to a trend observed on the ground and soon to be revealed in the upcoming opinion polls: Aliança Catalana is taking voters away from them.

Good morning.
