The wind has exceeded 140 km/h in the Alt Empordà

Northerly winds are blowing strongly in the north of the country, where in some cases speeds have exceeded 90 or 100 km/h. Notable among these is the 143.6 km/h recorded in Portbou this morning, which, combined with the low temperatures, has resulted in wind chills close to -10 °C in the northern part of the Alt Empordà region.
