Clear sky and thermal rise: the mercury will rub against 25 °C
Sun and higher temperatures during the weekend and Easter Monday
BarcelonaThe Azores anticyclone will continue to guarantee good weather in our region during the Easter holidays, with sunshine and thermal mildness that will fully usher us into spring, after some days of strong winds and snow in the Pyrenees. With this weather, the snowfall in the Pyrenees, where in some cases there are more than 2 or 2.5 meters of snow, a thickness much higher than usual at the beginning of April, can be fully enjoyed. However, by mid-next week, new changes with more atmospheric instability could arrive.
Saturday: sun and softness at noon
The sky will remain practically clear everywhere, with the sun being the absolute protagonist of the weather, with the permission of some harmless and fleeting high cloud. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, but it will still be moderately cold in the morning in the interior regions. Maximum temperatures will rise notably, especially in Ponent and the interior of the Ebro valley, with mild conditions in the middle of the day, and we will have many maximums of 18 °C to 23 °C, which will locally reach 25 °C in the regions of Ponent and Ebro.
Sunday: no changes
We will end the week with practically identical weather, still dominated by sunshine, although more high clouds will arrive and in the morning there will be banks of low clouds on the south coast, which will break up as the hours pass. The temperature will maintain its rise and will reach the maximum values of the current year in many places, exceeding 26 °C or 27 °C in some areas of the western regions. In the rest, we will have maximums between 19 °C and 24 °C at midday, which will invite people to go out and enjoy the good weather.
Radiant end of Holy Week
The weather will be very pleasant with radiant sun on Easter Monday, with temperatures that will remind us more of May values than early April. Many maximums of 20 °C to 25 °C are expected, but in spots on the pre-coast and inland, these figures will eventually be surpassed, locally reaching 30 °C in Ponent and the Ebro inland. Thermometers will be more restrained on the coast due to the influence of the sea, which is still cold.
All this with thermal contrast between day and night, as well as an increasingly marked thermal inversion, since in the coming days it will be colder first thing in the morning at low altitudes than at high altitudes. After Easter, instability seems to be returning, so let's take advantage of these calm days.
