The mercury will rise again on a Sunday with more clouds

BarcelonaThe weekend has started with a meteorological tone practically identical to the rest of the week, with very high temperatures that on Saturday again approached 39 °C in Ponent and exceeded 35 °C in practically any point of the interior. An intense and long-lasting heat that will continue also for Sunday and early next week, with maximums that will again seek the 40 °C mark and generalized tropical or torrid minimums.

Sunday: few changes

Temperatures have been similar during the early morning, although maximums will rise practically everywhere, especially in Ponent and in the south. The night will again be tropical or torrid in several regions, and during the day many of the values reached on Saturday will be repeated. Despite everything, it will be easier to reach 39 °C or 40 °C in Ponent and the Ebro valley, locally 41 °C. All this with absolute calm and with the passage of high and medium clouds at some moments of the day, even with the risk of a few isolated raindrops in the south of the country.

Monday: a little more heat

Start of the week with intense heat, even with a maximum temperature a little higher in Ponent and the interior of the Ebro valley. The sun will maintain its absolute dominance, with some harmless afternoon cloudiness in parts of the Pyrenees. The maps indicate that between the end of next week and the beginning of the following one, temperatures could normalize a bit, with much more bearable heat, but for now, we will remain well above the climatic average for the end of July.
