Temperatures have just reached 40°C in the northeast of the country, specifically in Cabanes (Alt Empordà). Temperatures are soaring today, especially in the Girona region. This extreme heat spike is causing many temperatures to reach between 37 and 40°C in this area and on the Barcelona coast.
