Stability will regain ground with an upward mercury
The temperature will rise progressively with the passing of the days
The cold front that crossed us this Sunday did so accompanied by a thermal drop that has been felt everywhere and that, in some cases, has sent the mercury plummeting. This is the case of Lleida, where the 9.5 ºC on Sunday midday contrasts with the 25 ºC on Saturday at the same time. Or in Vielha, where the 23 ºC on Saturday is far from the less than 5 ºC on Sunday midday. In a few hours, we have gone from this feeling of advanced spring to one more typical of the end of winter, especially in high mountains, where it will continue to snow during the next few hours. Furthermore, showers will affect more regions as the hours pass and will reach the eastern half of the country during Sunday afternoon and evening.
Monday: remnants of instability
The weather will still not be good during the early hours of Monday: showers will fall in the eastern half of the country and there will be considerable cloudiness everywhere, after a dawn with rain in the center and east of the territory. As the hours pass, however, the sun will gain ground in the south and west and the temperature will tend to rise, at midday after a slightly colder dawn than Sunday's. In the western Pyrenees there will still be snowfall, with a snowline that will rise to 1,100 or 1,300 meters in this sector of the mountain range and a north wind that will intensify again at both ends of the territory. The formation of a few scattered and minor showers in the northeast in the mid-afternoon is also not ruled out.
Tuesday: the sun prevails
The meteorological situation will be even more stable heading into Tuesday, with skies already completely sunny everywhere, allowing temperatures to rise more eagerly during the central hours of the day. Maximums will once again approach the 25 ºC mark in Poniente and exceed 20 ºC in many parts of the pre-littoral and the Ebro valley, with a mild atmosphere at midday. The tramontana will remain in Empordà, which will continue to alter the maritime situation in this sector of the Catalan coast and a large part of the Balearic Sea.
The temperature will maintain its rise and reach quite warm values by mid-week, with maximums exceeding 20 ºC generally and the sun persisting in its dominance.
