High clouds will be the novelty in a new day of spring heat
The temperature will reach its peak on Thursday, when over 30 °C could be exceeded
BarcelonaThe anticyclone has been with us for days and helps maintain very stable and calm weather, far from the winds and snowfalls we had a few days ago. This, combined with increasing sunshine each day, helps to push up the mercury, with highs that during this last stretch of Easter have already touched 30 °C in Ponent and 22-25 °C in many inland areas, values more typical of May than of early April. However, by the end of the week, instability could increase again with some showers and more subdued temperatures.
Tuesday: high clouds and stable mercury
New day of advanced spring, with the novelty of bands of high clouds that will advance from west to east and that with the passage of hours will reach many points, increasingly present in the western half of the country. The minimum temperature will not move much or may even drop slightly, while the maximums will remain stable and will move again between 20 °C and 23 °C on the coast and between 24 °C and 28 °C on the coast and the rest of the interior, and will exceed these records in Ponent and the interior of the Ebro valley. During the morning, low cloud banks will be repeated and in the Ebro delta some fog banks will form, a direct consequence of the growing contrast between the temperature of the sea and that of the mainland.
Wednesday: more softness
Few changes for Wednesday, marked by weather practically identical to Tuesday. More high clouds will appear, which will reach everywhere, and the low morning clouds could make an appearance in more points along the coast, although with a tendency to lift as the hours pass. The maximum temperature will rise a little more and will approach the warm peak, which will arrive on Thursday, with an atmosphere of advanced spring throughout the country.
Thursday we will reach the warm peak
The temperature will reach its peak again inland, especially in Ponent, where it could reach up to 30 or 31 °C and exceed the values reached this Sunday. On the coast, it will remain around 21-23 °C, with a cooler atmosphere due to the maritime effect caused by the wind and with some morning fog banks due to the thermal contrast between the mainland and the sea. The thermal rise will also be noticeable in the rest of the pre-coastal areas, especially in Northern Catalonia, where cities like Perpignan could also reach or be close to 30 °C.
