Provisional release for the seventh person arrested for the gang rape of a minor in Vall d'Albaida
About fifteen more people are being investigated for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault.

ValenciaThe Civil Guard has arrested a 32-year-old man for his alleged involvement in the gang rape of a 14-year-old girl in a town in the Vall d'Albaida region. This brings the number of arrests to seven, four of whom are already in prison. After testifying, the Ontinyent Court of First Instance granted the provisional release of this seventh alleged assailant. According to the Valencian High Court, none of the parties involved in the proceedings requested the detainee's imprisonment.
Last week, six other men were arrested, one of them a minor, for alleged sexual assault, sexual abuse of a minor, and failure to prevent crimes. As the investigation into the case progresses, which is kept secret, the conduct attributed to each of those arrested will be determined.
Among those arrested is a minor, who has been taken into custody by the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office, while the sixth person arrested—an adult—was released after testifying before the Civil Guard. Beyond the six arrested, the armed force is targeting around fifteen other people for their alleged involvement in the sexual assault, some of whom have also given statements at police headquarters.
They are investigating whether she was drugged.
The Civil Guard is investigating whether the detainees drugged the victim during a party on the outskirts of the municipality, a town of approximately 8,000 inhabitants, after which the gang sexual assault allegedly took place. This Saturday, dozens of people gathered outside the Ontinyent courthouse, where the detainees were taken to testify before the judge in charge of the case.
