Freixenet renews the image of its most aromatic and refreshing wines
The family-run sparkling wine company launches a new image for its Freixenet Special Selection wine range, with an elegant style that reinforces the premium character and quality.
The Catalan sparkling wine brand, one of the most recognized in the world and with more than 100 years of history, has decided to renew the image of its Freixenet Special Selection wine range—which includes a white, a red, and a rosé—with an elegant style that reinforces the premium character and quality of the wines. The group maintains its iconic, characteristic frosted finish, giving it a more attractive appearance and greater visibility. The new image of Freixenet Special Selection wines is accompanied by a new communication campaign that invites you to open a bottle and rediscover the pleasure of savoring every moment and enjoying fresh, fruity, and flavorful wines with friends and family that always invite you to share any moment.
These fresh and aromatic wines are perfect to enjoy during those moments when we spend quality time with family and friends. Their versatility makes them the ideal pairing for a wide variety of dishes: from Mediterranean appetizers and salads to ceviches, lean fish, seafood, and rice dishes. This is how each glass becomes an invitation.
Freshness and aromatic nuances: the Special Selection range
The Special Selection range is composed of three wines—white, red, and rosé—that stand out for their freshness and rich aromatic nuances. The white wine is characterized by its straw-yellow color with greenish tones, with a marked Mediterranean character. On the nose, it offers aromas of white fruit (apple) and tropical fruit (pineapple and apricot) with citrus nuances, floral notes (orange blossom, rose), and a background of aromatic herbs. On the palate, it is pleasant, with refreshing, silky, and persistent acidity.

The rosé, on the other hand, is a refreshing pale pink wine with blue notes, bright and attractive. Its intense and elegant aroma evokes forest fruits (strawberry, raspberry, and currant) and white fruit (pear), with pleasant floral touches (rose). On the palate, it is fine, sweet, and flavorful, with a lingering acidity that makes it refreshing and a persistent, fruity finish.
Finally, the red wine has a burgundy red color with violet reflections and fine tears. On the nose, it displays ripe black fruit (cherries, blackberries), spicy touches of vanilla, caramel, licorice, and cedar wood, with subtle floral notes of violets. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, with good acidity, black fruits, and soft, rounded tannins, and offers a balsamic finish with Mediterranean herbs.
Recognitions and origin of the Freixenet Special Selection range
The Special Selection range of still wines was launched in 2021 with white and rosé varieties, and expanded in 2022 with the addition of red wine. Thus, with this initiative, the brand reinforces its commitment to quality and actively listening to an increasingly demanding consumer.
Furthermore, the quality of Freixenet's Special Selection wines has been recognized by prestigious national and international competitions such as Bacchus, CINVE, Vinari, and Giroví. Of note is the Grand Gold medal awarded to the Special Selection Rosé at the Giroví 2022 Catalan Wine and Sparkling Wine Competition, and the gold medals obtained by each of the three wines that make up the range at the Bacchus International Wine Competition between 2022 and 2024. ~BK_SLT_L

New Special Selection White 0.0%: Freixenet's commitment to innovation
The relaunch of Freixenet's revamped wine brand coincides with the expansion of the Catalan sparkling wine brand's 0.0% product range, highlighting the recent launch of Freixenet 0.0% Blanc, which is low in calories, vegan, and alcohol-free. It has been designed to offer a unique experience, enjoying a glass without the need for alcohol and without sacrificing flavor, aroma, and quality. This brand launch comes at a time of global growth in consumption moderation and sustained growth in the "alcohol-free" category. Freixenet is the national and international leader in alcohol-free sparkling wines, according to data from the International Wine and Spirits Registry (IWSR).
Freixenet 0.0% Blanc is produced using a vacuum evaporation dealcoholization process, which reduces the ethanol content to 0.0% vol. without compromising sensory quality. The wine is then enriched with the addition of natural wine aromas, reconstructing the aromatic profile of the original wine while maintaining its identity. With this redesign of its still wines and the new launch of Freixenet 0.0% Blanc, the Freixenet Group reaffirms its ambition to adapt to market trends, offering wines that combine innovation and the unmistakable Mediterranean spirit to continue celebrating life's small and big moments.
