BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) are searching for a young man for assaulting a couple, both around 20 years old, and the woman's mother-in-law on Thursday afternoon in Calella. According to sources consulted by ARA, the young woman is currently brain dead in the hospital. The mother was also injured and is in critical condition, also in the hospital. The incident occurred around 3:00 PM inside the victims' home on Tramuntana Street in this town in the Maresme region, in the Toyca apartment building. Initial reports indicate that the man attacked them with a pot. Neighbors quickly heard the noise and alerted the police. Local police officers forced their way into the apartment, but the alleged perpetrator was no longer there. Several ambulances from the Medical Emergency System (SEM) arrived at the scene and treated the victims before rushing them to the hospital. The Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) know the identity of the young man and have him identified, as the building's security cameras recorded him entering and leaving the blog. In fact, according to sources consulted by ARA, the young man did not live at the address where the assault took place, nor is he from Calella. Some witnesses saw him fleeing, and the police are searching for him. Furthermore, according to the same sources, the young man has a history of domestic violence. The mother and daughter had been living in Calella for some time. An extensive search operation is currently underway around Calella to try to locate the young man.
