    The Spanish government has proposed to unions that the class size ratio be reduced to a maximum of 25 students in compulsory secondary education, which in Catalonia is currently around 30 students per group. The Ministry of Education communicated this to the education unions during a meeting to discuss the Teachers' Statute.
