The partner of the architect Josep Juanpere will be able to avoid prison if she pays a bail of 80,000 euros

BarcelonaThe plot twist in the case of Josep Juanpere arrived nine months after the death of this renowned architect, once the investigation by the Mossos d'Esquadra, carried out with strict secrecy, ended with the arrest of his partner at the time of the events, a 65-year-old woman. The arrest took place this Wednesday at her home in Madrid and this Friday the suspect was brought before the judge in Viella. The examining magistrate has decided to send the woman to provisional prison unless she pays a bail of 80,000 euros, as also requested this Friday by the Public Prosecutor's Office. The case is open for the crime of homicide.

The woman is accused of having killed her partner on December 26th of last year at the second residence that Juanpere had in Baqueira. In fact, one of the first clues the Mossos worked on was the fact that the woman did not notify emergency services and that it was the architect's nephew who, after hours of being unable to contact his uncle, went to the Baqueira residence and discovered his lifeless body, with the woman beside him visibly affected.

Juanpere was a very well-known figure among the Catalan high spheres, as throughout his life he designed important office buildings and corporate blocks. The woman is also considered a person with high purchasing power, as she owned hotel and restaurant businesses on the Costa del Sol. Their relationship had lasted approximately two years.
