The 40-year-old man accused of raping his 21-year-old daughter in the street in Lleida has been arrested for the second time. This morning, the man broke the restraining order imposed by the violence court that released him after he testified and was arrested again, according to reports. The Vanguard and the ARA has been able to confirm.

The detainee is accused of sexual assault with penetration. According to sources consulted by the ARA, his roots in Catalonia and the fact that neither the Prosecutor's Office nor the victim requested his imprisonment were important factors in the decision to release him, although the victim reportedly stated that this was not the first time he had sexually assaulted her. The court released the man, but with precautionary measures: he could not approach the victim within 200 meters or communicate with her. Sources from the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) detail that the arrest occurred around 9:30 a.m., when the man broke the restraining order and went to his daughter's house.

The sexual assault took place at 3:00 a.m. on Saturday outside the La Llotja conference center on Avenida de Tortosa. Some neighbors called the Guardia Urbana after seeing two people having sex in public. The police approached and identified the two involved. Upon seeing their IDs, the officers discovered they were father and daughter. The girl later explained to the police that her father was forcing her. The local police referred the case to the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police), who will expand their investigation. The detainee's son, the victim's brother, who was only eight years old, was also present in the area where the incident occurred.
