A man has been arrested for allegedly killing his father in Sabadell.
The police have found the victim and the detainee at the same address
BarcelonaThe Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) arrested a 49-year-old man early Saturday morning for allegedly committing the violent death of another man in Sabadell. According to ARA, the arrested man, who is suspected of the crime, is the victim's son. The Catalan police explained in a statement on Saturday that around 5:30 a.m. they received a report of a fight inside a home. Officers from both the Mossos and the Sabadell Local Police responded. Upon arrival, they found the victim's body, which showed signs of violence. Another man, the victim's son, was also present at the residence and was arrested as a suspect in the crime. The investigation is being handled by the criminal investigation division of the Mossos d'Esquadra's North Metropolitan Police Region. The police added that the case is currently under seal.
A blog to rehouse families from the neighborhood
The victim's body was recovered this Saturday. The judge in charge of the second position in the investigating section of the city's court of first instance, who was on duty that Saturday, oversaw the removal. This same judge will lead the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the crime.
The apartment where the detainee allegedly killed his father is located at number 8 Tibet Street, in the Merinals neighborhood of Sabadell, according to the ACN news agency. The same agency indicates that the building is in a relatively new area of the neighborhood, next to Can Gambús Park, and that it is a social housing block built in 2009 to rehouse local families living in apartments with structural deficiencies.
Parricide in Algeciras
Another parricide has come to light this Saturday, this time in Algeciras (Cádiz). The crime is believed to have been committed on Friday around 11:00 p.m. at the family home. This morning, a 45-year-old man was arrested for allegedly stabbing the victim's 75-year-old mother to death. The man also attacked the victim's 76-year-old father and husband, who was injured. The father remains hospitalized with serious injuries. The National Police are investigating the case and located the suspect this Saturday in a shopping center parking lot, inside his car. He was taken to a medical center for evaluation and then placed in police custody.
