According to police sources, a man assaulted his mother with a bladed weapon this Friday morning and tried to flee by sea. The Mossos asked bathers to leave the beach, which was closed for the pursuit.
Before entering the water, the police had already tried to stop the man, who managed to escape. At the same time, the mother has been admitted to a hospital and for now her life is not in danger. In parallel, police sources indicate that the man suffers from a mental health disorder.
Maritime Rescue and the Bombers de la Generalitat also collaborated in the search, managing to throw a lifebuoy to the man and intercept him. According to police sources, the man has been transferred to a hospital. Afterwards, the police ended up arresting him.
