BarcelonaUp to 79 minors have been brought before the judge investigating the disturbances linked to Blocus from last October 24th in Barcelona. Of these, five have been detained and 72 are on supervised release. Of the latter, 32 youths are prohibited from attending demonstrations. This was announced this Monday by the High Court of Justice of Catalonia, after all the minors had already appeared before the judge, a procedure that was carried out in a staggered manner during the past week to avoid blocking the courts. Of all the 79 minors, only two have no precautionary measures. Regarding the call for the All Saints' Day weekend, the police operation ended without arrests, but with 2,264 identified.

Initially, on Sunday and Monday of last week, the judges resolved the most urgent and serious situations, as minors can be held for a maximum of 48 hours without their situation being addressed. Subsequently, the minors who had been released were summoned progressively throughout the rest of the week. During these judicial sessions, the minors' relatives were also spoken to, and their environment was analyzed.

This judicial case referring to the disturbances is advancing in parallel to the police investigations that have ended with the arrest of the youths who coordinated the groups from which the disturbances were incited. Two adults have already been placed in pretrial detention for these events and one minor is also in detention.

In parallel, this Monday, the President of the Generalitat, Salvador Illa, gave instructions to the legal services to study "all possible actions" to hold platforms and their executives accountable for the Blocus groups that incited the disturbances. "The Government will do everything in its power to hold them legally responsible as a company and individually in Catalonia and Spain so that they assume their responsibilities," he added in an interview with Cadena SER.
