One dead in a daylight shooting in Barcelona
The incident occurred in the Marina del Port neighborhood and the Mossos d'Esquadra have moved to the scene
BarcelonaNew incident with a firearm in Barcelona. This afternoon a man died in a shooting in the Marina del Port neighborhood, in the Sants-Montjuïc district of the Catalan capital. Police sources have confirmed to ARA that the man died from gunshots and that initial indications point to an execution, although the facts are still being investigated. Some witnesses consulted also claim that around half past seven in the evening they heard up to four shots in the area of Carrer de la Mineria, in front of a fruit shop.
Second shooting in the district in less than a month
Less than a month ago there was also a shooting in the same area of Barcelona. One Friday night a man was critically injured in a shooting. According to police sources, a man approached another and fired several shots at him. The victim was very seriously injured and was taken to a hospital. The Mossos d'Esquadra opened an investigation, given the way the incident unfolded, everything points to an attempted execution in broad daylight.
