BarcelonaIsak Andic, owner of Mango,'s mobile phone was key to placing police focus on his son, Jonathan Andic. After the founder of the clothing multinational died hiking in Collbató, the Mossos d'Esquadra recovered his mobile and wiped it. There they found messages with his son that showed tension between them. Now, it has been the wiping of Jonathan Andic's mobile phone from which evidence has also emerged that has ended up leading to his arrest for the alleged murder of his father. For example, that he made the same route several times in the Salnitre caves, in Collbató, days before his father's death.

Jonathan Andic is the only person with whom the businessman was hiking that day. The wiping of the mobile phone has been a process that has lasted months and, as the ARA has been able to learn, although Jonathan changed his phone shortly after his father's death, the Mossos have been able to recover his geolocation in the days prior to his death. The Mossos have reconstructed the movements of Andic's son and have seen that he made the same route several times in the caves where the textile businessman died in the days prior to his death. On the day of his death, Jonathan was the only person with whom he was hiking, who was the richest man in Catalonia.

His geolocation in Collbató has been one of the pieces of evidence that has further focused police attention on Jonathan Andic. Even so, the same sources consulted warn that it is a very complicated event to clarify, as there were no witnesses or recordings to prove what exactly happened. This proof of Jonathan Andic's location has given more strength to the investigation of the son for homicide, but police sources reiterate that it is neither conclusive nor definitive evidence.

Initial suspicions

The initial suspicions against Jonathan Andic were declarations that were contradictory in some points, and everything ended with the decision of the investigators of the Catalan police to confiscate his mobile phone and empty it thoroughly. Before that, some relevant evidence also emerged from Isak Andic's mobile phone, which would be part of a kind of therapeutic procedure that Jonathan Andic was receiving and from which comments against his father were derived.
