Barcelona City Council approves subsidy of 50% of school meal costs

The Barcelona City Council has approved a proposal from the Esquerra Republicana party to subsidize 50% of the cost of school meals for preschool and primary school children starting in 2027 and to increase the coverage of school meal grants. The proposal, which is not legally binding, was voted on with the abstention of the municipal government.
