The Passeig de Gràcia platform is evacuated to attend to a damaged train.
Minor union drivers stage another day of strike to protest the transfer

BarcelonaThe platform on Barcelona's Passeig de Gràcia was evacuated Tuesday afternoon so emergency services could respond to a train breakdown. The incident occurred during another day of strikes on the commuter trains, and the incident forced Renfe to redirect traffic via one track between Sants and Estació de Francia. The Barcelona Fire Brigade helped passengers get off the damaged train, although Renfe maintains this was a precaution, as passengers had already been able to leave the carriages. The incident affects lines R2, R2 Norte, R2 Sur, R11, and the Southern Regional lines, all with delays of approximately 25 minutes.
All this during a new day of strikes that have also left another morning of chaos on the railway network. This Tuesday's strike is the penultimate day of strikes called by the machinists Members of minority unions. Train drivers are holding 24-hour strikes to protest the transfer of Cercanías (local trains) and what they consider a "dismemberment" of the public company Renfe.
The protests are having a strong impact on the thousands of train users. This morning, for example, Renfe reported that all service on line R7 was suspended due to the protests.
Renfe is diverting passengers to line R4 to cover the section between Fabra y Puig and Cerdanyola. It has also provided a bus service and is guiding some passengers to FGC services.
Commuters have also explained on social media that several trains did not run at all, as is customary on days of protest.
Several commuter trains and some high-speed trains were missed, as they did not run on their usual schedule.
