Roset becomes mayor of Arbeca after the resignation of Pelegrí, who is being investigated for assaulting his ex-wife.

Francesc Roset, a member of the ERC party, was elected mayor of Arbeca (Les Garrigues) on Monday, twenty days after fellow Republican Sergi Pelegrí resigned as mayor. He is under investigation for allegedly assaulting his ex-wife and biting a Mossos d'Esquadra officer. Roset has championed the continuity plan.
