Maria Eugènia Cuenca, first female councilor of the restored Generalitat, dies at age 78

Maria Eugènia Cuenca passed away this Saturday at the age of 78. Cuenca was the first woman to serve as a minister in a restored Catalan government. She held the position between 1992 and 1995 in Jordi Pujol's government as Minister of Governance, the current Ministry of the Interior.
