The former president of the Andalusian Parliament and the first mayor of Huelva after the dictatorship, the socialist José Antonio Marín Rite, died this Wednesday at the age of 84. He served as Batlle from 1979 to 1988, and later became president of the regional chamber, serving as a regional deputy. He was also a senator.
