ERC is urging the Spanish government to extend the Democratic Memory Law back to 1985 so that it also recognizes the victims of the Patronato de la Mujer (Women's Welfare Board). To pressure the Moncloa Palace (the Prime Minister's office), the Republicans, who believe there are "thousands" of victims, will register a non-binding motion in Congress demanding this.
