Vinícius's house catches fire in Madrid

BarcelonaSoccer player Vinícius Junior's home in Madrid caught fire Thursday morning, according to several local and national media outlets. The Real Madrid player's residence is located in the La Moraleja neighborhood of Alcobendas, just over 20 kilometers from Madrid. The fire reportedly started in the basement, where the gym and sauna are located, which caught fire for reasons still unknown. No one was home at the time, and emergency services did not have to treat any injuries. In fact, the player is currently training with the Brazilian national team.

Emergency services received a call around 12 noon reporting a possible fire. Two firefighter crews were mobilized, but upon arriving at the scene, they saw that local police officers had almost brought the fire under control with a fire extinguisher. The fire affected the basement, but the smoke generated rose through the stairwell on the upper floor, affecting other areas that firefighters have already ventilated.

This is not the first time that Vinícius Júnior has made the news in recent hours. The player, who in recent weeks has been linked to the influencer Virginia Fonseca issued a statement on her Instagram profile apologizing for a possible infidelity, according to Brazilian media. "Virginia is an incredible woman, an admirable mother, and someone for whom I feel enormous affection and respect," the player wrote. "Although we weren't officially a couple yet, there was a sincere connection."

The Brazilian added that he's not ashamed to admit that he was "careless," that he didn't respond "in the best way possible," and that he "disappointed" her. "The idea now is to restore everything. According to Brazilian media, Virginia Fonseca has confirmed that she no longer speaks to Vinícius and that for her, it was a casual relationship.
