BarcelonaRosalía returned this Wednesday to the show of American host Jimmy Fallon. The Catalan singer attended with the task of telling a funny anecdote. From the legendary sofa of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the artist recounted how one day she was left outside a church she was very excited to enter. "On Sunday I wanted to visit the Abyssinian Baptist Church. I had been told they held a spectacular mass there," says Rosalía. The church, located in the Harlem neighborhood of New York, has more than 200 years of history and is one of the most famous in the area. Aware of the historical and social importance of the place of worship, the singer got up early in the morning and dressed up to go to the mass.
"I showered, I combed my hair, I put on makeup, I put on perfume and I put on all kinds of creams. Pretty for God. I put on my church heels, small ones, a modest sweater, some pants. I am coming to hear the word of God. I take it seriously," recounts Rosalía. She arrived at the temple early, but she already found a line of people waiting to enter. "It was a very long line and it was very cold, but I was convinced, I wanted to get in there," says the singer. "I waited, waited and waited, and finally the line started to move. But when I got to the door the man at the entrance looked at me and told me that I couldn't get in, because the church was full," she adds.
Faced with the refusal, Jimmy Fallon says to her: "Oh no! And what did you do?". "I was rejected by the church, I didn't think it was possible. In the end I left and bought myself some new shoes," the singer concludes. This has been Rosalía's third visit to Jimmy Fallon's show. The first time she visited him in 2022, wrapped in a duvet, and the second was in 2025, and there she sang La perla.
