The best of the Basque Country arrives in the heart of Girona.

PLACE: Plaza Catalunya in Girona / DATE: March 14-16

A large tent set up in Girona's Plaça de Catalunya will host activities, traditional sports exhibitions, and food tastings to showcase the Basque Country's main attractions. The exhibition, organized by Destinos Euskadi, opens Friday at noon, and throughout the weekend, visitors will be able to savor the finest Basque wines and cheeses, such as those from the Idiazabal DO; discover traditions such as those of the stone lifters and the log cutters; and learn about the region's rich landscape and heritage.

The Gastronomic Forum praises Catalan cuisine

PLACE: Girona Trade Fair Palace / DATE: March 17-19

Coinciding with Catalonia being the World Region of Gastronomy this year, the Girona Gastronomic Forum features Catalan cuisine. Also playing a prominent role will be the dining room professionals and the Alabrasa project, which will showcase the transformation of fire in cooking. Renowned international chefs will be at the Fira, hosting workshops, symposiums, tastings, and presentations of new culinary innovations.

L'Escala is filled with books this weekend. In addition to the book stalls on Gran Beach, there will be activities on classical and Marrano poetry from historical Rome and Italian crime fiction.

25th Shop on Calle & Vermut in Platja d'Aro

PLACE: Playa de Aro / DATE: March 15 and 16

The Street Shop & Vermouth, scheduled for last weekend and postponed due to weather conditions, is being moved to next weekend, maintaining all the activities and promotions to celebrate the 25th anniversary. Visitors will find vermouths for €5, menus for €25, hotel stays for €25 per person per night at participating establishments, DJs livening up the streets, prizes for purchases over €25, and a special one with a hotel night. packs drinks for €25 in nightclubs.

The MOT talks about love and sexual-affective relationships

PLACE: Olot and Girona / DATE: March 17-29

"More names for love" is the theme of this year's MOT festival, which explores love and sexual and emotional relationships. Featuring around thirty authors, including Maggie O'Farrell, Tessa Hadley, Luis García Montero, Cynthia Rimsky, Gloria Gasch, Alba Dalmau, Pol Guasch, Lluís Muntada, and Jordi Nopca, among many others.
