'Assassin's Creed Shadows' and 'Split Fiction' among the 7 featured video games of March

March brings many new features, among which we highlight new proposals for studies with a track record and some remakes classic games. Let's see which are the best video games that are being released this March.

Hazelight Studios is back with its specialty, the local cooperative games. The creators of the worldwide success It Takes Two, considered the best game of 2021, is back with a new split-screen experience. This time, players control Mio and Zoe, writers who find themselves trapped inside their own stories. The game will offer levels with different game genres and varied mechanics throughout the adventure, which will also intersperse elements of science fiction and fantasy, the two literary genres in which its protagonists specialize.

Wanderstop is a cozy new proposal from Davey Wreden, the creator of the iconic interactive story The Stanley Parable. In addition, the director collaborates with the artist C418, composer of the music of the world-renowned Minecraft, for audio design. The game's plot revolves around burnout syndrome, and follows the steps of a former warrior named Alta, who seeks to recover from her trauma and violent past by working as an assistant in a tea shop. The game seeks to challenge players, with likeable characters and a colorful backdrop.

The fourteenth installment of the saga Assassin's Creed is set in 16th century Japan, towards the end of the Sengoku period, a setting that players have long been asking for. The plot of Shadows will continue to explore the age-old conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order. Players will be able to experience the adventure from the perspective of two new protagonists who will offer unique gameplay: Naoe, a female ninja or shinobi, and Yasuke, a very corpulent African samurai inspired by the historical figure of the same name.

Nintendo releases a remastered port of the decade-old Wii U title, featuring improved graphics, updated character models, and including all of the additional content that the game received. The sci-fi RPG is set in 2054, when an intergalactic war between two alien races has destroyed Earth and brought humanity to the brink of extinction. During their escape, a small group of survivors accidentally arrive on a vast, wild planet called Mira, a place they will have to make their new home.

The franchise Atelier has published new titles almost annually since 1997, but it wasn't until 2005 that it also opened in the West. The role-playing saga has alchemy as its central element, and the game mechanics revolve around finding, collecting and mixing new ingredients to progress in the adventure. This installment aims to modernize the series and will include several new features for the first time, such as an open world, base management, real-time combat (abandoning turn-based combat) and even a darker plot than usual.

Developed and published by Rebellion Developments, comes a new action-survival game set in an alternate history during the 1960s in the north of England. The game explores what would have happened if the Windscale fire, the worst nuclear accident in the history of the United Kingdom, which occurred on October 10, 1957, had had a more tragic ending and had turned a large part of the territory into a quarantine zone. The game, with a first-person camera, invites the player to embody any citizen within this desperate and intense environment, where it is as easy to kill as it is to be killed.

Inspired by the universe of Dungeon & Fighter, Korean giant Nexon publishes an action role-playing game hardcore With an artistic direction very evocative of anime, the player takes on the role of the great general Khazan, who manages to transcend death and decides to embark on a mission to uncover the incidents that led to his downfall and seek revenge against those responsible. The First Berserker incorporates mechanics of the genre Soulslike, such as demanding combats that require good energy management and precise defensive movements, all wrapped up in a very spectacular visual section.
