The Catalan noir scene pays tribute to Otis Redding

PLACE: Ter de Torroella de Montgrí Space DATE: February 14, 8:30 p.m.

A tribute from the best Catalan soul and funk musicians to the great Otis Redding. Within the Black Music Festival, The Otis Redding Show is a vigorous review of Redding's legacy in a show with a carefully chosen repertoire that avoids falling into nostalgia. Six musicians and three vocalists in a show directed by Lalo López, guitarist and composer of the Tony Manero Foundation. The Catalan black scene pays tribute to Otis Redding with a well-oiled soul machine that elevates the body and spirit.

Pork tastings at the Fiporc in Riudellots

LOCATION: Riudellots de la Selva / DATE: February 15 and 16

The Fiporc fair dedicated to the world of pork was founded in 2014 with the aim of becoming a benchmark event in Catalonia in a municipality where the pork sector has become an economic hub and a symbol of identity. The fair's programme, which grows from year to year, includes a parade of old tractors, tastings of pork products, with breakfast included, workshops, representation of the butchering of pork, competitions and activities for the little ones.

Second edition of the Vilafant fair for buying and selling toys, comics and records. A meeting point for nostalgic people in the Ágora space, next to the municipality's Sports Pavilion.

The most groundbreaking "Tirant lo Blanc" in Olot

PLACE: Teatro Principal de Olot / DATE: February 14, 8 p.m.

The show Trant lo Blanc, in a groundbreaking theatrical adaptation by Màrius Serra, takes the most epic chapters of the adventures of the knight from Valencia: a story full of dangers, loves and conflicts that resonate, through time, to the world of today. It draws parallels with contemporary conflicts and shows that history is always written by the victors and that heroes always rise above the corpses of innocent people. Directed by Joan Arqué and starring Laura Aubert.

Sardana Superestar with Arnau Tordera

PLACE: Girona Municipal Theatre / DATE: February 14, 8 p.m.

Sardanistic musical by Arnau Tordera that is presented as a true revolution for both musical theatre lovers and lovers of the sardana and copla. To discover what the sardana has to do with the liberation of humanity from the threats that loom over the planet. A revaluation of our musical tradition.
