Aimee-Ffion Edwards, actriu protagonista de 'Creednos'

September begins with a high-intensity proposal: a miniseries based on the true story of several survivors of sexual assault in the United Kingdom. Inspired by one of the country's biggest judicial scandals, this four-part proposal follows several women who report having been victims of the same sexual aggressor and encounter the incomprehension of justice. While the authorities do not listen to them and the system does not protect them, the aggressor continues to act with impunity for years. One of the main actresses in the series is Aimee-Ffion Edwards, who this month also premieres a new season of Slow horses.

'The gentlemen'
Netflix / September 3
Kaya Scodelario i Theo James a 'The Gentlemen'

If what you need to start the course is a bit of action, The Gentlemen, created by Guy Ritchie, is a pretty good choice. The production premieres a second season in which its protagonist, the aristocrat Eddie Horniman (Theo James), is already fully integrated into the criminal world, operating alongside his partner, Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario). The couple, who started the criminal enterprise trafficking cannabis, swap the English countryside for Italy, where they come into contact with a ruthless mafia boss played by Sergio Castellitto.

'Babies'
Filmin / September 8
Els protagonistes de 'Babies'

This month's standout pick on Filmin is a romantic drama about a couple facing several pregnancy losses. In the process of trying to have their first child, Lisa (Siobhán Cullen) and Stephen (Paapa Essiedu) suffer multiple miscarriages, a situation that tests their hopes of becoming parents. In parallel to their story, the series also focuses on another couple, in this case in the early stages of their relationship: Amanda suffered the death of her fiancé a few years ago and is now trying to rebuild her life alongside Dave (Jack Bannon). The creator of the series, Stefan Golaszewski, assures that Babies is essentially a love story about a couple facing for the first time "a real problem that distances them from the way they were until that moment".

'The Miniature Woman'

Matthew Macfadyen a 'La mujer miniatura'

Matthew Macfadyen, a two-time Emmy winner for Outstanding Supporting Actor for Succession, takes the lead in this dramedy centered on the power imbalances within a couple that seems to have it all to be happy. When a technological accident reduces Lindy to miniature size, the marital crisis they have been dragging for years erupts, but they try to hide. Living together in unusual circumstances brings out all the accumulated resentments.

'Slow horses'

Dos dels protagonistes d''Slow horses'

One of AppleTV's great jewels returns faithfully to its annual appointment, which almost makes it a rare bird in today's television where fiction series make audiences wait more than two years between seasons. The clumsy spies of MI5, led by Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman), face an assassin this season who seems to want to kill all past and present members of Slough House, where all those agents who have made an unforgivable mistake end up. One of the attractions of this sixth season is the return of Olivia Cooke (House of the Dragon), who returns to play Sid Baker, the spy who supposedly died in the first season.

Jack Reacher, interpretat per Alan Ritchson, i Frances Neagley, a qui dona vida Maria Sten

Beyond all the teen series, one of Prime Video's big hits is the action offering Reacher. Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Jack Reacher's former protégé in the army's Special Investigations Unit 110, is a private investigator from Chicago who decides to put into practice everything she learned from her mentor to solve a friend's strange death.

'American Horror Story 13'

El cartell de la sèrie

Fans of horror are in luck: the new season ofAmerican Horror Story will be a kind of all stars of the most iconic characters from the franchise started by Ryan Murphy. Therefore, the new season will play with the legacy of the anthology series, which since its premiere has reviewed many topics from the horror imaginary, such as haunted houses, witch covens, or circuses with disturbing characters. One of the incentives of the new season is the return of Jessica Lange, who for years said she was not interested in returning to a saga in which she has played characters such as Sister Jude Martin or the supreme witch Fiona Goode.

'Brothers'
AppleTV / September 23
Woody Harrelson i Matthew McConaughey

One of the series this September that has generated the most curiosity is a project that brings Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey together again after the highly acclaimed first season of True detective. The new series has nothing to do with that thriller detective: here the two actors play fictionalized versions of themselves. The fictional Woody and Matthew discover that they could be biological brothers, a fact that completely changes their relationship.
