In recent weeks, Marc Giró has remained a trending topic after announcing his signing with Atresmedia and leaving public television. The Catalan presenter is already preparing Cara al Show, his new humor and entertainment program, which will air on La Sexta after Easter. After the news and his appearance on El hormiguero, this Monday a double interview with Jordi Évole was broadcast on the program Lo de Évole. One of the most notable moments of the interview was when Évole surprised Giró with a live call to the central government president, Pedro Sánchez. The three of them chatted for more than eight minutes, and Giró did not miss the opportunity to challenge Sánchez to appear on his new program.

In the same interview, Giró made a remark that Susanna Griso took personally, even though she was not named. The new Atresmedia presenter was reflecting on politicians and presenters: "With Esperanza Aguirre, the same thing happens to me as with Isabel Díaz Ayuso. I think we have missed out on great television presenters, morning magazine hosts. I think they would be happier dedicating themselves to the world of entertainment than to politics." In contrast, Évole suggested: "Perhaps morning magazine presenters could have been great politicians."

This comment irritated Griso. During the discussion on her program Espejo público, the participants reacted to Giró's words, and it was precisely the presenter who spoke first. "I don't think this is an entertainment program. It's an informative program, so... if Marc Giró likes Esperanza Aguirre more than me, because I don't want to talk about other presenters, he should get it checked," Griso replied. The second comment, however, was a bit sharper: "I don't think it's our role, I don't aspire to be a politician or to dedicate myself to politics. What I do is a much more critical analysis than what he can do with Begoña Gómez."

When it seemed that the Catalan presenter had closed her response and would let the rest of the panelists have their say, Griso said goodbye to Giró, looking at the camera, with a final comment to close the topic: "With affection, Marc. You know you started on this program and it was your first television experience. And I'm happy to have given it to you," Griso reminded him. For now, the new Atresmedia showman has not wanted to continue the bickering.
