BarcelonaRosalía has become the new brand ambassador for Calvin Klein, a rumor that had been circulating online for days and was confirmed today when both the artist and the brand posted images from the campaign on social media. The photographs were shot by Carlijn Jacobs, a Dutch photographer who has worked with artists like Beyoncé and brands like Chanel and Prada, and feature the Sant Esteve Sesrovires singer wearing pieces from the famous lingerie brand in a campaign that aims to fuse "bold sensuality with" a visual narrative.

In statements collected by the magazine VogueRosalía explains that Jacobs is an artist she has admired for years. "As a photographer, she proposed her vision, and it was a great honor to be able to collaborate with her and Calvin Klein to make these images possible," she adds.

Rosalía added that her connection with the brand goes back a long way. "It's been my go-to underwear for over fifteen years; I always sleep in white Calvin Klein panties. I love the brand and it's an honor to be part of the campaign: it feels like a full circle," she said.

For the campaign, Rosalía revived the song 'De Madrugá', an old track that she had kept unreleased until now. It was in 2019 during the tour for the album 'El mal querer' when the artist performed this song for the first time.

Iconic Campaigns

Calvin Klein has been photographing famous people in underwear for over forty years for its campaigns—from Kate Moss to Justin Bieber—using a proven successful formula that always combines eroticism, renowned photographers, and large billboards hung in strategic locations in cities around the world. As luck would have it, one of the latest subjects of these campaigns was actor Jeremy Allen White, Rosalía's ex-partner.
