The University of Michigan creates a position for a full professor of Catalan studies.

Catalan Jordi Ribas, Microsoft corporate vice president and PhD in engineering, and his family have made a donation to the University of Michigan to create a full professor position in Catalan studies. The agreement has already been approved and signed.
