The EU agrees to end imports of Russian fossil fuels

The European Parliament and the Member States have reached an agreement to end the import of Russian liquefied natural gas from January 2027 and of gas entering the EU by pipeline from September 2027 and, progressively from the end of 2027, also the purchase of Russian oil.
