BarcelonaIsrael continues to threaten and attack Lebanese territory. As part of the offensive against Hezbollah, Tel Aviv announced this Tuesday that the Israeli army will demolish all homes in Lebanese towns bordering Israel, following the offensive model it carried out in Gaza. Defense Minister Israel Katz assured this in statements reported by the newspaper Haaretz in which he also insisted, as he has for days, on the need to maintain a "security" zone south of the Litani River, and made it clear that the 600,000 Lebanese displaced from the area will be "absolutely forbidden" to return "until the security" of the residents of northern Israel is guaranteed. Regarding the death of three peacekeepers under Spain's tutelage, the Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, recalled that peace forces "must be free from any kind of attack," and called for an investigation and accountability for the attack.

Meanwhile, the United States insist that they are negotiating with Iran —which it does not deny— while sending soldiers to the region, and Benjamin Netanyahu says the war will be long. This Tuesday, the Israeli prime minister avoided setting a date for the end of the war. Tel Aviv has maintained its bombings on Iran —and also on Lebanon— in the last few hours, which have left at least 11 more dead in the city of Mahallat and power outages in Tehran.

According to the Israeli prime minister, Washington and Tel Aviv are "beyond the halfway point in terms of success" in their war against Iran. He expressed this in an interview with the conservative outlet Newsmax, in which he assured that the joint attacks are focused on the country's nuclear material. This Sunday, however, the Red Crescent warned that since February 28, American and Israeli bombs have impacted more than 93,000 civilian facilities, including 600 schools and 295 health centers.

Iran attacks a tanker and three ships cross Hormuz

During this early morning, Iran has attacked with drones the Kuwaiti tanker Al-Salmi, anchored in Dubai, which was loaded with 2 million barrels of oil. The ship has suffered damage, but according to the authorities, no crude oil spill has occurred and there are no injuries. The attack has caused the price of oil to skyrocket rapidly, but the Brent crude has moderated slightly after The Wall Street Journal pointed out that Trump had assured his advisors that military options "are not his immediate priority" and that he would be willing to end the war even if the Strait of Hormuz remains closed.

Precisely in Hormuz, the Chinese government has confirmed that three ships from the Asian country have managed to cross the Strait of Hormuz "recently". The statements are corroborated by data from the maritime tracking portal MarineTraffic, which shows that the ships CSCL Indian Ocean and the CSCL Arctic Ocean crossed the strait yesterday, Monday, between 9 am and 10 am GMT. Furthermore, the ship Mac Hope, under the Panamanian flag, which has declared itself to be of Chinese ownership and crew, was also able to pass.

According to Chinese media, the Indian Ocean and the Artic Ocean were carrying mostly empty containers. The two vessels had attempted to pass from one side to the other of Hormuz on Friday, but were forced to turn back after the Revolutionary Guard denied them passage through a strait that is particularly strategic for China, as 45% of its energy imports pass through it.
