US President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that Coca-Cola is agreeing to use real cane sugar in its products in the United States. "I have been talking to Coca-Cola about using real cane sugar in Coca-Cola in the United States and they have agreed to introduce it," the Republican leader said on his social media platform, Truth Social, where he thanked company officials for the decision.

"This will be a very good move on their part. You'll see. It's just better!" he concluded on Truth Social, a platform he regularly uses to communicate all kinds of announcements. The White House shared Trump's statement via X with an image in which the president appears on a red background with his fists raised and a message that reads: "Have a Coke with Trump." The president's last name is engraved on the bottle's label.

Without confirming the announcement of a change in the recipe, a Coca-Cola spokesperson responded to the information by thanking President Trump for "his enthusiasm" and assuring them that they will soon make public new details about the innovations that they will incorporate into their product range.

The company specifies on its website that the flagship product is consumed in more than 200 countries and details that depending on the place where it is manufactured and the raw materials used, slight differences in taste can be detected. In Europe, sugar is used as a sweetener, while in the United States, until now, corn syrup was used in the case of Coca-Cola "original flavor."
